hm, there’s something wonky with these comment fields. i can’t see what i’m typing while i’m in the field. that may be a firefox issue…. other than that, i think the orange is easier to read on the grey than the blue was yesterday. keep up the good work, homies.

White on White? It looks ok now. The site looks great, and i just noticed the calendar is a google thing, i’ll have to play with that. RSS feeds too? Sweet.

This site looks amazing when I open it at home on Firefox. But when I’m at work and can only use Internet Explorer, things get a little wacky- the links are off, and I can’t view the sidebar without scrolling a significant amount over to the right.
Might be worth your while to test this in a number of browsers…

Dang, I knew there might be problems with Internet Explorer. Argh. I’m a bit out of luck here, being a Mac user. Here’s what I found on Microsoft’s page about it:

INTERNET EXPLORER FOR MAC NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD
In June 2003, the Microsoft Macintosh Business Unit announced that Internet Explorer for Mac would undergo no further development, and support would cease in 2005. In accordance with published support lifecycle policies, Microsoft ended support for Internet Explorer for Mac on December 31st, 2005, and is not providing any further security or performance updates.
Accordingly, as of January 31st, 2006, Internet Explorer for the Mac is no longer available for download from Microsoft. It is recommended that Macintosh users migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple’s Safari.

i like the dark grey comment field. looks super nice and is easy to read.

Yeah i like the colours too. However, on the Allies Page the hyperlinks are too dark and aren’t readable.
    Browser: Firefox 2.0
    Platform: Windows

I also like the fact that you don’t have to sign in to post. However, it is a security risk. Yodsfu could get spammed to death. You may want to implement those crazy picture letter things to submit post and to also verify that robots aren’t hitting the servers.

Thanks, Matthew. We’ll be tweaking the colors on Allies soon. As for spam, yeah. No kidding. But we are running the anti-spam plug in Askimet. It should hold back the hords for a time. We’ll see how it goes and if we need additional measures.

Also, no one can figure out why my comments are still white on white…

i love the clean sans type for the site. i did question the new circle logo, it doesn’t seem to relate to the rest of the typefaces. Great job Justin! others

Yeah, white on white…. Are you signed in as an admin? I’d troll through K2’s site or check your admin personalization schemes.

i’m wondering if my comments are white as well.

it seems that agencies and register are colliding a bit in my safari browser.

sorry to leave two back to back but. Is interact the home page? I ask cause it isn’t obvious, Can you add a hot spot over the circle of hope logo up top to bring me back to the home?

Honestly – I liked the city picture better. The old map is pretty, but we are hardly historical. I am happy the logo is there.

    On the title page…
Rather than “They will know we are Christians by our love” (which is true)
Can we reinforce one of our slogans and brand it?
For example: A safe place to explore and express God’s love OR
A church for the next generation OR
A network of hope to meet the challenge of the 21st century

Someone is able to solve the Internet explorer issues — right?

The new site is very nice looking and I’ve been enjoying tooling around discovering everything it has to offer. I was confused by the two choices on the first page, “connect” and “generate.” I’ve been around Circle so I can figure out what you mean by generate, but for someone visiting the site for the first time I think it’s not very clear. If someone is visiting for the first time they may not want to connect or generate. They may just want some information. On the same note when I choose connect, the first page I get feels like a lot of writing with some closed conversations among ourselves. I know no one intends for them to be closed, everything at Circle of Hope is open, it just feels closed. I would like the first page to offer a chance to get information. I really want people visiting the site to stick around and not feel left out.

Also I want to add information about the ampm and the children’s cell, and how we care for children at Circle of Hope. How do I go about this?

    I do love the pictures!

    Tracey
