Sharing is living "more alive" isn't it? In Jesus there is enough to go around. Thanks for your courage.

I owe my survival to a family of seven who opened their home to my four children and I for an entire year when I separated from my abusive husband. They had moved into their brand new home on Saturday, and I called on a Monday, in desperate need of a safe place to stay for a few days. The few days turned into a year. I was so exhausted and barely felt sane after what I'd been through. It was an amazing experience, and I will always be grateful to how loosely this family held on to their space to make space for five more people.

I've been struggling lately with my living situation and making the adjustment from living by myself to living with a bunch of people I've known only a few months, but I feel like they are family.

I'm from Philly, I went to Liberti, and I've moved to Biloxi for a year of volunteering. Long story really short, stumbling across this blog was probably the best thing I've done all day.

I really love what you have to say, Tricia. Thanks for sharing with us. I'm learning more and more about how my students can teach me all sorts of things, too.

tricia, i often call you my "voice of reason" and this time is no different. Thanks for offering your insight and your journey. Our friendship and shared life has taught me much.

I think of all the other folks we know--or don't yet know-- who'll be dropping by to read your post, and how much i look forward to sharing with and learning from them as well!
